Hi,
My name is Karl Sultana.
For those of you who do not yet know me, I publish regular updates on the NoAdware blog.
Computer tutorials, videos, free ebooks, tips, how to do this and
that... and lots more. Including how to stay safe online by avoiding
scams, reduce spam, eliminating fraud emails and identity theft.
There is lots to discover.
One popular post is about Paypal - where users where being charged and
billed for products they did not even purchase. So they have to check
with paypal to fix this issue which is quite a serious one.
You can use the NoAdware search box to find the post and the lots more.
Here is a list of recommended internet security products.
#1: Registy cleaner: This software from www.ccleaner.com is free. It is
important because it fixes problems in your computer registry. In short
your computer piles up "trash" the more you use it.
Use this software to clean the "trash" and obviously your computer is in better performance or shape.
Use every 1-3 months depending on how much you use your computer.
#2: Anti
adware and spyware software: NoAdware software
http://www.deletespyware-adware.com is not free, even though you can
have a free trial.
It protects your computer from the dangerous adware and spyware (adware and spyware are like two categories of infections. The actual list of files that can infect your computer is thousands long so we place certain types in those two categories. The other type are placed in the virus category)
#3: You need an antivirus to remove files that infect your computer which are classified as viruses. Again we area talking about thousands of these files and they are created new ones everyday, so instead of listing a thousand files we place them in the category known as virus.
So you need an antivirus, recommended one is www.avast.com which is free. The free version is very stable and recommended.
And remember...
Like I always say do not have multiple products of the same type. That means have just ONE anti virus, ONE registry cleaner, etc... or they may not function properly together and cause problems.
The recommended software all have real time protection - they protect your computer while you are using it.
Most free software do not have this feature, that's why I did not grab a bunch of software and listed them on this page.
These are the best internet security (and computer maintanance) software you can get.
#4: You have also to use a firewall software, if you have windows vista the windows vista firewall is enough.
But if you have another version of windows, still turn it on, but it is
not that powerful. You need another free software known as firewall,
which requires in this case you learn how to use it (since it is not so
simple sometimes) because it may confuse you.

Purcahse (if requried), download and install those software. Use
roughly all of them every 1-3 months... And I bet your computer is
safer than any other on the web!
